RESEARCH MENTORING

I have had the pleasure to formally mentor about 14 undergraduate and graduate students. Many of the graduate students, I mentored are successful scientists both in academia and industry. For example, one of my graduate school mentees, Dr. Fabian Gruss is a postdoc in the laboratory of structural neurobiology at KU Leuven, Belgium and one of my postdoc mentees, Dr. Martin Griessel is the R&D head with the company Lysando, Germany developing phage therapeutics.
